Quilter's Crossing engages in several philanthropic activities throughout the year. Below is a list of some of our current Philanthropic projects. For more information contact us at quilterscrossingguild@gmail.com with Philanthropic in the subject line.
F.E.A.S.T. (Food Emergency and Services Team) Since April 2019 through March 2024 which included the Covid years of 2020/2021, when our meetings were held virtually, this generous group of ladies have donated $15,439.00 and over 6800 lbs of food to this most deserving organization. Members continue to donate food items, canned goods and monies monthly at our business meetings.
Quilter's Crossing members sew quilts and donate them to Pinellas Sheriff Advocates to put in police cars for comfort to children and adults as needed. We will have delivered 100 quilts by the end of our 2023/2024 year.
Quilts of Valor: Members make quilt blocks out of red, white, blue, cream and/or gold fabrics of different patterns that are made into a Quilt of Valor to be awarded to our Veterans. Thank you to those who donate the blocks and those who sew the blocks together, as well as the longarm quilters who selflessly donate their time to quilting them.
The Haven of RCS This year our guild donated 50 quilts to The Haven of RCS for their homeless and domestic abuse shelters. These quilts are given to provide comfort and joy to the recipient.
In addition to our many Philanthropic Projects, Quilter's Crossing, Inc. donates regularly to the following:
- National Quilt Museum
- The Community Center for the use of Harbor Hall
- FEAST
